Charlie Mitchell’s Camps International trip to Kenya in 2026

Hi Charlie here I am a year 10 student at Winsford Academy, qualified referee and a passionate darts player . I have recently signed up to undertake the Camps International trip to Kenya in 2026 along with some of my fellow students.

This once in a lifetime trip is a 4-week expedition travelling to different areas of the country where I will be experiencing some of the following.

• Building houses for locals, including foundations, brick making, plastering, and painting.

• School building projects

• Animal care (elephant fencing and goat de-worming etc)

• Obtaining a PADI Scuba diving qualification

• Learning about the Kenyan way of life, how they grow and cook their food as well as tribal cultures.

On this page I will be sharing my fundraising journey with you all, where I am planning to utilise my refereeing qualifications and skills to raise funds, I will be organising and hosting a darts tournament and also undertaking some challenges that incorporates passion for darts by challenging myself to take out the 501 up a mountain so watch this space for updates!!
