Hi, my name is Siobhan Rizzo and I’m raising money to help my parents. As many have already heard my parents house caught on fire at 1:30 am yesterday. Thank God that the smoke detector went off and woke my dad up. He was able to get out and get their dog out of the house. Sadly their cat did not make it out of the house. My brother was out and came home to the house on fire not knowing if my dad had made it out. My mom was with us in Maryland visiting for the week. I drove my mom back to what was left of the house yesterday. We were able to recover some jewelry and figurines that were my grandparents. But everything is burnt and just unrecognizable. We are so very thankful for the outpouring love and generosity they have been receiving. While our hearts are so shattered with why this happened and it only 5 days before Christmas, I just can’t imagine what we would be going through had that smoke detector not gone off. The bed my dad was asleep in is just gone. So please anything you can give to help them get a place to live and then eventually some furniture.
