Charlie Laughran's road to recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Steve Galewski. I am Charlie Laughran's grandpa. Our sweet little girl was sent home from school on December 20th with a 104 degree fever. My daughter Jamie and her husband Mick took her Childrens hospital and by the following morning Charlie had lost all her motor skills, walking, talking and unable to support herself. She was found to have 2 different viruses that attacked her body along with a double ear infection. Charlie was also diagnosed with an unknown virus which caused autoimmune encephalitis and lead to A.D.E.M. (accute disseminated encephalomylitis). Charlie now has a long road of recovery a head of her to get her motor skills back. This will include endless hours of physical and speech therapy. Charlie also will require 24/7 care from her parents and family. Even though they have insurance, they are facing many bills. Deductibles and out of pocket expenses. Anything anyone would like to donate would be greatly appreciated. I am just looking to ease their burden. A sudden incident like this can be financially devastating. If by chance there is more money collected than is needed for her care, those funds will be donated to Children's Hospital. Thank you.
