Hi there! Im Dave, the very proud and lucky father of Charlie Houston. Charlie is Autistic, non verbal and has severe learning disabilities. Charlie is an adorable little boy who has lots of fun but he also struggles a great deal on a daily basis. Charlie can get extremely distressed and disregulated. He has a lot of sensory issues and finds the world very scary and confusing. We know through a lot of research that an Autism Assistance Dog would help Charlie immensely. These dogs are trained to help support individuals like Charlie with their every day needs. The dog would help Charlie to regulate, calm and sooth him allowing him to access the wider community. We need to raise £14,995 to cover the cost of the bespoke training with the Autism Dogs Charity.
