A Mother's Fight: Help Keely Defeat Ocular Melanoma and Stay with Her Son Charlie

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. My dear friend Keely, a devoted mother and beloved teacher, is facing the fight of her life against ocular melanoma.

Keely is not just any mother; she is the sole provider and caretaker of her 7-year-old son Charlie. Despite the challenges life has thrown her way, Keely has always been a pillar of strength and resilience. But now, she needs our support more than ever.

At just 37 years old, Keely received the devastating diagnosis of ocular melanoma. Without hesitation, she underwent surgery to remove her eye, knowing that it was the best chance to save her life.

However, three years later, the cancer reappeared, this time spreading to her liver. Keely, ever the fighter, sought out treatment options and began a clinical trial at UCLH. While this therapy initially slowed down the growth of the cancer, it's no longer suitable for her condition.

Now, Keely has been informed that her best chance at prolonging her life lies in chemosaturation therapy. This treatment has shown promise in patients with ocular melanoma that has spread to the liver, but unfortunately, it's not yet available on the NHS. Without private health insurance, Keely faces a daunting financial burden.

Each round of treatment costs £40,000, and Keely will need up to four treatments, totalling £160,000. Keely has already completed the first treatment, which cost £40,000. As a hardworking teacher and single parent, Keely is doing everything in her power to provide for Charlie and continue working despite the toll of her treatment.

But she can't do it alone. Keely's friends and family are rallying around her, but we need your help too. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in Keely's fight for her life and her precious time with Charlie.

Keely's only wish is to be there for her son, to watch him grow and thrive, to share in his joys and triumphs. She is a dedicated taxpayer who has never asked for handouts, but now she needs our support more than ever.

Keely is still very fit and well and so positive. She is an ideal candidate for this treatment. The cancer if not treated will progress very quickly. This is her best hope.

Please, help me give Charlie the gift of more time with his beloved mum. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and ensure that Keely has the chance to see her son grow up.
