Help Charlie get his wheels back

Hi, my name is Jennine and I’m starting this Go Fund Me to help my daughters teenage friend, Charley Hatchard. Charley is a 17 year old Crescent Collegiate student, heading into his final year of high school. He proudly received his drivers license this past May 29th, and his family surprised him with a used car . As you can imagine as a teenage boy this was magical! We can all remember the excitement of our very first vehicle , I know I certainly can! Let the cruising begin!

Fast forward, not three months later, on Monday , August 14th everything was about to change. Charlie and two of his young friends were on their way home from a routine trip to the local Tim Hortons when a car flew past him driving at reckless speeds , flew off the road and crashed. Charlie , being the kind kid that he is , was a Good Samaritan and immediately pulled over , shaken, to offer his assistance to the passengers of the vehicle. Upon assisting the lone occupant out of the wreck the man became irate and demanding. Without getting into any further details , this event ended with the man jumping into Charlie’s car and racing away leaving Charlie and his two friends stunned on the side of the road at the scene of the crash. Moments later Charlie’s car and the occupant crashed into the ocean ending in tragedy.

This young man who tried to do the right thing, has now been left shaken, and traumatized and in the end lost at no fault of his own, his prized possession. Having been a used first vehicle the car carried only public liability. It does not matter that it was stolen , Charlie now has been punished for attempting a good deed.

For me , this has personally touched my heart . I ask all of you to consider your children at this age, or even yourselves and think of the heartbreak you /they might feel in this situation. Let’s pay forward Charlies kindness and help him get his wheels back ❤️
