Charlie Finley's Biggest Battle

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the Finley family.

Many of you know Charlie and Candy from their many, many years of working in the Pine Island, MN community. Charlie at Pine Island Ag Partners and Candy at the Pine Island School for 35 years. Charlie also served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. They have always helped others however they can, and now it is our turn to be the helpers.

In January of 2024, Charlie was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer, after a tumor was found in his shoulder. He has been a real trooper and is taking any and all treatments available to him, and still usually has that big smile to give.

Charlie has undergone chemo and radiation and already endured 5 major surgeries including shoulder replacement, hip replacement, rods placed in both legs, a rod in his right femur and a T12 spine repair.

Despite all of the treatments and surgeries, the cancer has spread, and continues to make life hard for him. This is not a curable type of cancer.

Charlie has been in and out of both the hospital and nursing home for Physical Therapy and unfortunately insurance (including Medicare) is not always enough if it does not fit their specific rules, which leads to paying out of pocket for many things.

Bills are mounting up quickly for them. Amy, Stacy, Chuck and their families are doing everything they can to help with appointments and staying on top of it all.

Charlie and Candy should be enjoying their retirement and now they have this challenge to overcome. Any help you can give is so greatly appreciated and will be used for medical expenses and related costs for Charlie's care moving forward.

Funds will go directly to a bank account in Candy's name.
