Charlie, diagnosed with cervical cancer whilst pregnant

Hi everyone, I’m Marnie and I’m starting this fundraiser to help my friend Charlie who has been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer whilst she was pregnant and I’m hoping we can raise some money to ease some stress as this difficult time for her and her and her 4 kids❤️

Charlie was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 32 weeks pregnant, a C-section was planned to remove Amyra and then Charlie was supposed to undergo surgery to remove the cancer. As Charlie was waiting for her C-section doctors realised her cancer had spread out of her cervix and had hit her lymphnodes, they performed the C-section to get Amyra out safely but the surgery to remove the cancer was no longer an option because of how much the cancer had spread unfortunately.

Charlies baby girl Amyra was born 8 weeks early weighing 4lb 3oz and named a saviour baby by the nurses because it was Charlies pregnancy that had helped discovered her cancer. Amyra stayed in the neo natal unit for 19 days and is now back home with Charlie an doing so well❤️

Charlie had to begin her chemotherapy treatment just 2 weeks after Amyra was born and has now completed 3 out of 6 weeks of the first round. Once she’s finished this she will start a combination of chemo and radiotherapy which she will go to Monday to Friday for another 6 weeks. This will then be followed by intra uterine brachytherapy for another 5-6 weeks.

I’m starting the fundraiser to try and get Charlie some financial help to ease some stress at a very difficult time for her

It’s costing Charlie £30 a day in taxis to and from castle hill hospital to recieve her treatment so any help towards these costs would be amazing!!

Charlie is also going to be putting her 2 girls Amna (4) and Amina (2) into nursery for some extra days a week so that they can be looked after while she receive her treatment because she’s going to be at castle hill Monday - Friday, so again anything towards them cost would be massively appreciated!!

I also want to use some of the money raised to get Charlie’s four kids Leeroy, Amna, Amina and Amyra some nice treats and maybe some days out for them to put some smiles on their faces❤️
