Charlie Button - Nepal Expedition - October 2025

Hello My name is Charlie.

On 18th October 2025 I am going on an 12 day expedition with Scouts to Nepal.

I feel very lucky to have been given the support to be able to take up this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to get there.

We will begin our trip in Kathmandu and from there we will travel to Pokhara where we will trek to the Mardi Himal Base which is 4500m, stopping at various camps and tea houses on the way.

When we return to Kathmandu we will take a flight over Everest, visit a Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and meet a local Nepalese Scout group for a friendly game of football and to learn more about their local culture.

Whilst this is an amazing experience for me personally, it also gives me a chance to raise money for Classrooms in the Clouds, a charity that helps schools in Nepal to build high quality earthquake resistant classrooms, support teachers training and many other aspects that impact the children of these remote areas of Nepal, benefitting 5,500 children each year.

To raise some money towards the cost of this amazing trip and for the charity above I will be taking part in various challenges and activities over the next 6 months to further fund my trip.
