Hey y’all. My name is Alyssa, and I’m from Ohio, moved to Florida in 2023. In 2020, at just 15 years old, I took on the responsibility of getting my dog, Charlie Brown. From that moment on, he became so much more than just a pet. He was family, my best friend, and a huge part of my everyday life.

Charlie was full of personality. He was funny, energetic, loving, and always knew how to make people smile. Over the years, we made countless memories together and truly enjoyed life side by side. He came with me and did that 12 hour drive from Ohio to Florida so we could start my adulthood together.

Unfortunately, on April 22nd, 2026, God called Charlie home.

Back in December of 2025, Charlie became very sick and began battling multiple health issues, including immune disease, painful skin lesions, and seizures. Watching him go through that was heartbreaking. For four months, we fought as hard as we could to help him heal and stay comfortable. Sadly, the last seizure he had ultimately took him from me.

This has been one of the most painful experiences emotionally and mentally, but it has also been an incredibly stressful financial burden. Throughout Charlie’s treatments, emergency visits, medications, and ongoing care, the vet bills quickly added up. Initially, the balance was over $3,000, and although I’ve been doing everything I can to pay it down, there is still over $2,300 remaining.

I never imagined having to ask for help like this, and honestly I’m not the type of person to. Usually I’m the one helping others, but sometimes you have to take that leap of faith. Any donation, no matter how small, would truly mean the world to me and help relieve some of the financial stress left behind after losing my baby.
