Charli Walters recovery
Donation protected
Just after midnight on the morning after Thanksgiving Charli was hit head on by a drunk driver while driving home from work. It was a devastating collision that has changed her life and the lives of her family forever. Until that night she had been living her dream as an ER nurse and a mom. Charli was truly put on this earth to care for others. She has a true passion for nursing, she fights for her patients when they can't and pushes them to be better and do better when they feel that they no longer can. The only thing that surpasses her love for nursing is her love for her precious baby boy. Charli and Milo love to be on the go spending time with family and friends. She is a great friend, wife, sister, daughter, and aunt. And now she has become the toughest fighter I know. For the last month she has been at Vanderbilt hospital where she was flown from the scene of this horrific accident. She suffered fractures to her ribs, sternum, wrist, pelvis, both femurs, and ankle. By the grace of God she had no internal injuries and aside from having no memory of the day of the accident it seems she will have no neurological deficits. After multiple surgeries she is finally on her way to recovery. However due to the extent of her injuries she will spend the next couple of months doing intense physical therapy and is not expected to be able to return home or to work for several months.
Charli has always worked hard to provide for her family and to help others. Charli's family and closest friends would love for her to focus only on her recovery so that she can get home to her son and doing what she loves in the ER.
