Hi, my name is Bree and I have set up this Go Fund Me for Carlos Santos and his 14-year-old son, Charles.

On March 15th, Charles was involved in a scooter accident in the Philippines, where he is now in critical condition. The initial reports from the doctors were not positive – unresponsive, bleeding in the brain, internal organs, and lungs. He has since been responsive to noise, and the family needs help with funds for brain surgery and his care.

I speak on behalf of Carlos, as he has been a live-in caregiver for my father and grandmother since 2014, and is part of our family unit. Carlos has been in the United States for the last 14 years, sacrificing daily to give his family a better life. He was a victim of human trafficking, and recently got his paperwork approved. He has been working hard to reunite with his family after not seeing them all this time, and he was so excited to reunite with his three boys this summer, as he left the Philippines when Charles was a baby. This news is absolutely devastating as he finally had a beacon of hope this year.
