Mental Health Charitable Fund
Donation protected
In memory of our father, Charles Mathis Pfeiler, we are raising money to provide financial assistance for those in need of mental health treatment but are unable to afford it. All proceeds will be for the direct benefit of individuals through grants to charities supporting our mission. Our family truly appreciates your support!
Statement from our family,
As you all know our family has been searching for our dad from July 18th to July 24th. July 24th that search has ended. We located our father. Sadly, it was not the outcome we hoped and prayed for. On Wednesday July 18th 2018 he took his own life after battling severe depression throughout his life.
We’d Like to take the opportunity to thank this community for all of your support. We’d like for everyone to remember him for the way he lived, and not the way he died.
We’d also like to use this message to remind all that mental health should not carry a stigma, and that we should work together to help those struggling with mental illness.
We greatly appreciate all your kind words and support. While we grieve our loss, we know our dad loved us, and that he would want us to encourage anyone struggling with mental illness to seek treatment and not wait.
Charles Mathis Pfeiler, our Dad, was a devoted Christian and family man. We love him and will miss him dearly until we see him again.

*Donations made through go fund me are not tax deductible. To make donations directly to the Donor Advised Fund please contact Patrick Neal at [email redacted].
*All funds donated via the gofundme site will be deposited into a Donor Advised Fund for the sole purpose of issuing grants to qualified charitable organizations. The Pfeiler family will evaluate grant proposals that meet the mission statement "provide financial assistance for those in need of mental health treatment but are unable to afford it". We anticipate closing the gofundme campaign within 90 days at which time all funds will be withdrawn and deposited in the Donor Advised Fund. Funds will remain in the Donor Advised Fund, where they will be invested, until which time any grant proposal is accepted and funds are distributed to the charity. Grants will continue to be considered and funds distributed until which time the fund is depleted. The family is engaging professional advice and services from Wells Fargo and other providers. All oversight of the Donor Advised Fund and the selection of the grant proposals is at the sole discretion of the Pfeiler family.
