Charles Malden Biography

I am the great great grandson of Charles Robert Malden who lived between 1797 &-1855, and hope to publish his biography. He served in the Royal Navy and became a surveyor; accompanied HMS Blonde to the Sandwich Islands in 1825; discovered Malden Island in the Pacific (later used for extraction of guano and nuclear tests. He founded the first preparatory school in Britain in 1837, Windlesham House School (the first prep school to go co-educational in 1965).
The money will help in production costs of the book which it is hoped will be published in August 2021.
Without this funding it will not be possible to publish the book.
A4 size 372 pages & 160 colour illustrations
Acknowledgement of donors will be made in the book - those from the UK who give £50 or more and their contact details will receive a hard back copy of the book, including post & packing. Those from Overseas £100 including post & packing.
