On July 31, 2025, we lost a beloved member of our Indigenous ceremonial community. Charles aka "Menawa Nehv", aka "Junior" Landers. He was on a trip to Panama City Beach to bring his wife, Sonia, to see her mother for the last time, as she had been placed on hospice care in June.

Tragically, Charles passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while on this trip, less than 2 weeks after his mother-in-law's passing. Charles had no life insurance policy, or savings. This leaves his wife in another state than their residence with no funding for his arrangements, or for herself after his passing.

Our ceremonial grounds is fundraising to assist Sonia after the tragic loss of both her mother and husband. Sonia is a recent double amputee, and relies on Charles as her primary caregiver. She has faced a number of health challenges in the last few years that have left them to struggle financially .
