Dear Family and Friends,

Tragedy has struck our families again, and we are devastated to share that Charles Johnson was killed in a horrific car accident in Odessa, Texas over the weekend. As many of you know, Ashton, Landon and Paytyn unexpectedly lost their mother, Melissa Johnson, in March 2021. These three kids have suffered more heartbreak than anyone should ever know. They were living in Midland, Texas with Charles, where he managed to work full time while raising the kids as a single dad. The younger two will now be relocating to Elgin, Texas. Ashton will remain in Midland, Texas, where he will attend college as planned, but he will need to move out of the house Charles was renting. Many of you have already reached out to see how you can help. There will be many immediate expenses related to moving, attorneys, funeral services, etc., and ongoing expenses for the kids' insurance, living expenses, education, and more. Any donations are greatly appreciated, no matter the amount. More than anything, the family asks for prayers for the Johnson kids and the Howell and Schinzel families as they help the kids navigate this extremely difficult time.
