It is with the heaviest of hearts that we inform you that on December 4, 2023, our beloved dad, Charlie passed away unexpectedly. Charlie has always been known for his infectious smile and the kindness he has shown to so many. He was deeply adored and admired by all who had the opportunity to know him. Charlie’s greatest accomplishments were being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a proud great grandfather who was adored by his great grandchildren.
Charlie could put a smile on anyone’s face at any given time and truly had the biggest heart. Charlie was a decorated Navy veteran and was so proud to have served. We know dad has finally joined the love of his life and soulmate Tanya, in heaven. We knew how badly he has missed her over the years since her passing.
As many know over the past several years Charlie provided full time care to his youngest son Chris with his granddaughter Chelsea’s assistance. It remains crucial for Chris to continue to receive full time care as he is unable to care for himself. It was also Charlie’s wish for Chris to remain with and be cared for by family. Rest assured dad, we plan to honor that wish. During this challenging time, we seek to raise money for financial support for Charlie’s remaining funeral expenses and assistance to get Chris moved closer to Chelsea so she can take over his care.
The family is heartened to have received countless requests from family, friends, and strangers asking if there is a way they can show their love and financial support so we are establishing this fund on behalf of these requests. Dad, we are missing you so terribly down here. Your brothers and sisters miss you terribly. We all know you are comforted in mom’s arms now as you have waited so patiently to be with her again.
Funeral services and further information will be provided at a later date.
