With great sorrow and no easy way to present this news, it truly breaks my heart to announce the loss of my beloved husband, Charles Eugene Champlin Jr., who passed away unexpectedly on December 5th, 2022.
Chuck experienced great hardships of being born with cataracts, being raised by a single mother and surviving a drive-by shooting which never let that stop him from living his life to the fullest. He’s left behind his beautiful daughter Erin, his loving mother Sandra, his dear sister Pamela, his loyal friends and many other countless lives he’s touched. Charles was the love of my life, my best friend and the lighthouse that guided and grounded me.
Chuck and I have never been one to ask for help from anyone, but the amount of love and support I have been given is genuinely heartfelt and appreciated. This unexpected loss has brought financial hardship and unexpected costs. I understand the timing of the holiday season is here, and it will be difficult to donate, but anything will help. We plan on holding his service at the most special place that he held dear to his heart, Angel Stadium, where he devoted his life and career as a CSC employee for the last 21 years of his time here on Earth.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time in reading this.
With much love, Evelyn Champlin.
