Hi, my name is Michelle Pergar and I’m creating this gofundme to help both my father and mother with travel and parking garage fees. My mother drives about two hours total to get to my dad’s rehabilitation center, and then she spends $15 a day to park.

Once they discharge my Dad he’ll need to go to a nursing facility that also gives him extended PT, OT and Speech therapy. This too maybe even further in the D.C. area. She would never ask for help, but any amount would be so very much appreciated.

About one week ago, my beloved husband Charlie survived an acute stroke. He is steadily getting better. Talking more and starting to feel his right side again. They moved him across the street to the National Rehabilitation Hospital, so we are very excited about that. I have great faith in the resilience of my husband and the miracles achievable through physical therapy (and OT and speech therapy) as this family has seen it through our own eyes after my son’s catastrophic injury 7 years ago!! Continued prayers are needed, and very much appreciated. Thank you to my children, my brother and sister in law for rushing to our side for support and help, and my families and dear friends for reaching out. It is so much appreciated. I will try to update everyone when possible. Thanks again and keep those prayers coming! (Also, while he is in rehab, he is only allowed 1 visit a day, so no extra visitors allowed)
