Charles Cook, age 62, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was proudly born to the late Arthur and Esther Cook (née Boyd) in Buffalo, New York.
After graduating from McKinley High School, Charles received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a concentration in Architecture. He loved his work and was privileged to play a major part in the 1996 Olympics and Paralympics. These events are what brought him to Atlanta from his beloved hometown.
Charles was a man of great faith, a loving father, grandfather, loving husband, and mentor. Since his early encounters with Jesus Christ, Charles understood God’s purpose for his life. He knew he was set apart and diligently worked to help build God’s kingdom here on earth. He served his family, community, and the Church with love. He loved others as Christ loves us and was a consistent voice in the lives of many youth and young adults.
His passing comes as a great shock and deep loss to his entire family and the countless friends who loved him unconditionally. Though the family is deeply grieved, they know they will see him again in glory. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time and asks that, in lieu of flowers, you contribute to the Charles Cook Homegoing costs

He leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many close friends. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Cook.
