Charles Alexander Support is Needed
Donation protected
Dear friends,
We are needing to raise funds to pay for the cremation and memorial of Charles Alexander, a much-loved member of the Santa Cruz community. Charles came to Santa Cruz as a child with his older brother, Floyd, and his mom, Bernice who both eventually left him on his own. Over the years, Charles built a family and community and was loved. He loved all the children across differences and was so thoughtful and caring in looking after kids from single-parent homes and struggling communities. Although he loved his own child the most, Myah, he spreads his love and kindness to all other kids generously. He would do anything for the kids.
Charles would also do anything for people. He was a landscaper and a hauler and often provided his services to the community and people in need. He was known for his cheerful waves and a big smile from his many trucks including ‘the green Ford’ as he drove around town honking and waving to people he knew.
Our beloved Charles passed away on October 16th of complications related to a long period of fighting cancer. As generous as Charles was, he did not have significant savings and his family is struggling to meet the basic requirements of paying his final rent, moving and storing, paying for the cremation, and a memorial that honors his legacy.
Nothing is too small and any support will be gratefully appreciated.
With thanks.
Sincerely,
Charles’ daughter, Myah Alexander
