Charlene's Journey to Health and Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Charlene, and I’m 21 years old. On November 19, 2024, I will be entering residential treatment for anorexia nervosa—a decision that is truly life-saving for me.
For years, I’ve struggled silently with this illness, and in the past year alone, I’ve lost over 110 pounds. This has led to severe and life-threatening health complications that I can no longer manage on my own. Despite trying everything I could at an outpatient level, my condition has reached a critical point. Residential treatment is now my only path forward to safety and recovery.
During my time in treatment, I won’t be able to work, and I’m reaching out for support to help me navigate this incredibly challenging time. Donations will go toward medical and living expenses I will accrue over time, providing much-needed stability as I heal. It will also help me transition back to daily life after treatment, including paying for transportation to medical appointments and work when I’m discharged.
Any & every contribution, no matter the size, makes an enormous difference in my journey toward health and happiness. Even taking the time to read my story means the world to me.
This battle is hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever faced, but I’m determined to overcome it and reclaim my life. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
