On July 6, I ran a 5 mile race effortlessly, feeling strong and healthy. Just a week later, I was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreas cancer. As an RN and lifelong wellness advocate, I was shocked by the news. My doctors told me that despite doing everything right in terms of lifestyle, this cancer is simply “bad luck.”

This diagnosis has been life altering for me and my family in many ways. My days are now filled with medical appointments, treatments, and hospitals, and the costs for medications, travel, and ongoing care are adding up quickly. I am grateful for the support of my family and friends, but the financial burden is significant and overwhelming.
