Charlene's Cancer Journey: A Mother's Fight
Donation protected

No one wants to hear these three words, “you have cancer.” When Charlene heard them in December she knew she was going to fight. Charlene is fighting stage ll breast cancer which will require chemotherapy, surgery and possible radiation.
In the untimely way these type of things seem to happen, this past year Charlene used the remainder of her PTO to have surgeries on both of her wrists to return feeling and function back to her hands.
Charlene is a single mom who is the primary provider for her son. Something I have always admired about Charlene is her ability to balance life working full time as a Nurse in a leadership position and being a full-time mom. She loves her son and will do anything to ensure his happiness, safety, and sense of security.
Charlene is a registered nurse of more than 20 yrs and has been in a leadership position in the hospital for 15+ years. Throughout these years she always supported her employees through their life struggles. She is always a kind, listening ear. She always encourages employees to put themselves and their families first. Anyone who has come to Charlene with a problem has always left her office feeling at least slightly better and with a plan to move forward.
Charlene has spent her career taking care of people and I hope this financial support can help take care of her. Please help me in wrapping our arms around Charlene as she walks through this breast cancer journey.
The funds earned will be used for things that are not covered by insurance. Such as a cooling cap to be used in hopes to keep her hair through chemotherapy. Any additional funds raised will be used towards expenses not covered by insurance and any everyday living expenses that may arise while having to take months off work.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference. Please consider donating, sharing, or keeping Charlene in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your support!
