Support the Charlene Pires Memorial Scholarship

Hello everybody! This is Team Charlene Headquarters reaching out with some news and information! After Charlene’s untimely passing, we asked all of you, in lieu of flowers, to donate to the Charlene Pires Memorial Fund. Through all of your kindness we were able to raise $6,000! With this amazing amount of money a scholarship was created in Charlene's name!

Thanks to the help of her friends, family and colleagues, the scholarship was gifted to a much deserving student at Greater Lowell Technical High School (GLTHS)!

As a beloved guidance counselor at GLTHS for 20 years, Charlene was more than an advisor—she was a fierce advocate, a mentor, and a guiding light for students who needed someone to believe in them. GLTHS was a place that inspired Charlene and motivated her to work fervently to help kids find their inner worth. She guided them towards being their best self no matter what that self entailed.

Like last year, this scholarship will be awarded to a hardworking and determined GLTHS senior who shows incredible promise but needs extra support to take their next steps—whether that’s college, a trade apprenticeship, or further training in their field. Charlene believed in every student’s ability to achieve their dreams, and this scholarship ensures her spirit of empowerment lives on.

Now more than ever her beloved students need the financial aid and assistance to better themselves. Your donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference.
