Charlene Brazil - Surgery and Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Update: Charlene and Marvin would like to thank everyone for their generosity! They are so grateful! Charlene had another procedure on her foot late last week. She is doing well and the doctor was pleased with how it is healing. Charlene found out during this admission that she will need insulin and additional medications to manage her diabetes. The funds raised will help with the cost of medication, blood glucose testing strips, travel to the hospital, etc. We are looking at getting Charlene to try the Freestyle Libre testing sensor, so she can have real time, 24 hour updates for her blood glucose. Diabetes as you know, can cause heart attacks, strokes, amputations (as she already experienced), nerve damage, eye problems, etc. Your donations will directly create a better quality of life for Charlene! Thank you all for your kindness!

Hi, My name is Geoffrey, and I am asking for your support to help Charlene and her family. Charlene has had some negative health outcomes over the past months and is currently hospitalized in St. John’s. She has traveled 190 km, return trip, to appointments, ER visits, and had surgery this week and is still recovering at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. She is doing good but will need bed rest and will need her partner to be off work to care for her and their young son. While Charlene is always positive and finding the best in every situation, the cost of traveling back and forth to the city and medications/after care is expensive as you all know. Charlene does not want to ask for help but as a community, I know that we will do what we can to support her and her family at this time. Thank you in advance for your help, notes of concern, encouragement, and genuine care!
