Charlee Relief Fund

Meet my friend and roommate Charlee.

She loves puns, Harry Potter (just as much as I do if not more), Legos, reading, crocheting and her cat Dobby. I have watched Charlee come out of her shell over the past year and I've seen her be more active in church, make friends and enjoying life and God more each day. Through all of this she has had some difficult times as well. In 2023 alone she was in the hospital over a dozen times for her seizures. She's seen many doctors and neurologists and has never seemed to get a definite answer on what is happening and what is causing them.

She was in the hospital yet again this past weekend/week and it was so bad that they had to sedate and intubate her just to get the seizures to stop. After days of monitoring and reviewing our long term answerless prayers were finally answered. Charlee has been diagnosed with Psudoseizures and her medication to fully recover from her seizures permanently will be lots of time in therapy to work through her past traumas. She is also scheduled for pre-op appointment March 5th for VNS. She will be having surgery March 11th to have the VNS device installed. VNS or Vagus Nerve Stimulation; involves the use of a device to stimulate the vagus nerve with electrical impulses. This device will help cut down seizures along with helping regulate her heart rate. Until then, she will remain on seizure medication and will still have difficulties finding a job and paying bills. This is where we need your help. With her being in and out of the hospital and with an upcoming surgery, she is unable to work or keep any consistent job. She had applied for disability but until that get approved she really needs help covering the cost of home bills, medical bills and food. Please prayerfully consider helping her with these expenses so that she can take the time she needs to heal and fully be over these seizures once and for all. With this she will also have the weighted stress of finances be off her plate so she can focus on her physical and mental health.
