Hi everyone,
2025 marks 10 years since I lost my beautiful mam to suicide. On the 24th of June 2015 my life changed in ways I would have never imagined. I wouldn't be where I am today without the support of the people closest to me.
The effects of suicide have impacted so many people heavily and they are sadly irreversible. I find a lot of strength in sharing my story and raising awareness so others hopefully never have to experience heartache like we have done.
My best friend Charlotte Harris and I have been discussing ways to mark the 10 year anniversary and celebrate my mam's life, as well as raise money for an amazing charity.
In June this year we are taking part in a charity skydive to raise money for a charity called Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide. They aim to help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow.
If anyone close to our family would like to join our skydive please reach out to me and I will add you to a Facebook page and explain all the details.
More information about Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide: We exist to meet the needs and break the isolation of those bereaved by the suicide of a close relative or friend. Many of those helping have themselves been bereaved by suicide.
We offer emotional support, help and information in a number of ways.
Our aim is to provide a safe, confidential environment, in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, thus giving and gaining support from each other.
