Hi my name is Dan Ramsden, childhood friend to Daniel Lang. Dan & I played rugby together since the age of 10 for Odsal Sedbergh and have been close friends ever since.

During this time, we had a highly competitive rivalry with local team Clayton in a 5 / 6 season competition. We were friends off of the field, but arch enemies on it!

We always fell short of victory against them but the last time we met in a Bradford cup semi final we managed to get the win.

That was the last time we met on the field 27 years ago!

Years later, Dan went on to meet the love of his life Kylie.

Sadly 2 & a half years into their relationship and shortly after giving birth to Elsie discovered aggressive cancerous tumours and given approximately 2 years to live.

Defying medical odds this was back in 2020 and Kylie has been battling this disease with unbelievable strength and dignity whilst being a mum to Elsie who has autism and needs extra care and support.

Unfortunately Kylie has reached the end of the line with NHS funding for her treatment.

I aim to bring old friends and families together from the rugby league community to play a curtain raiser at Odsal stadium before Bradford Bulls take on Hunslet. We will most likely Knock the hell out of each other one last time and have a great time together afterwards like old times!

Any help towards the Lang family to support their current situation would be greatly appreciated.
