Charity 'Mudder' for JB & Mental Health Awareness

Hi Everyone,

At the beginning of last year, not long after his 19th birthday, my beautiful little brother sadly took his own life. Words will never explain the void this has left in my heart. John was honestly the most beautiful and precious young man to walk this earth and I am so lucky he was my brother.
He was so smart, funny, caring, goofy, energetic, gorgeous and just lit up any room he would walk into.
Life will never feel the same without you my beautiful boy. I miss you so much and I will always be so proud of you.

I am still trying to process what has happened and it breaks my heart that John wasn't able to voice his pain. Internal battles with mental health can make so many of us feel incredibly lonely and hopeless and we struggle to initiate conversations around these feelings, especially to our loved ones.

Please join me in making a difference.

Last year I did my first 'Tough Mudder', which was a 5k run jam-packed with obstacles and challenges along the way, some of which included team work to complete and some of my cousins did this with me for support.

This year, I have decided to do the 10k Tough Mudder in order to reach a new minimum target of £5,000. I will be doing the challenge on my own this year. I'm really nervous about doing it alone but I know it's for a great cause and will be worth it when I cross the finish line.

My Charity of choice is Place2Be and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. For anyone not able to donate, I would massively appreciate you sharing and helping spread awareness for this amazing charity.
Place2Be believe every child should have easy access to mental health support whenever they need it and have been supporting children's mental health for over 25 years. The charity create safe spaces in schools for children and young people to share without pressure, arming them with emotional skills to help them deal with life's challenges. Place2Be support whole school communities to cope with a wide range of mental health issues from bullying to bereavement, depression to domestic violence and neglect.

This is for you JB. I love you and I hope you are peace now my brother. Thank you for being the best brother in the world. We will be together again one day I promise.
