Charity Football Match for Foyle Search & Rescue
Donation protected
When and why are we doing this?
On 21st December 2019, a group of 25+ of us will be playing in a charity football match to raise much needed funds for a great charity organisation which is close to our hearts and who are embedded in the local Derry community - Foyle Search and Rescue (FSR).
FSR rely heavily on public donations and these funds will massively help towards buying equipment, day to day running costs and delivering essential training to volunteers.
Any contribution, big or small, will be greatly appreciated by us and the whole Foyle Search and Rescue team.
Many thanks!

More about Foyle Search and Rescue:
Foyle Search and Rescue is a registered, voluntary based charity, operating in Derry, Northern Ireland, but cover search and rescue operations UK and Ireland wide when required. Foyle Search and Rescue was set up by local people in 1993 in response to the alarmingly high number of drownings in the River Foyle (30 within 18 months) and has adopted the role of preventing suicide and supporting families in the City.
Their aim is to reduce the number of people who die through drowning in the River Foyle – one of the coldest and fastest flowing rivers in Europe.
Our volunteers are from the local community and selflessly give up hours of their personal time every week to help those in need, engaging with people in distress, maintaining lifebelts and saving lives.
