Help Charith cover his Living Expenses!

My name is Elliott and I'm fundraising for my friend and teammate Charith Dep, who sadly fractured his ankle playing Rugby for the Kamloops Raiders this past Saturday.

Charith joined the team in March of 2023 and has been a fantastic player for the club ever since. He has earned many Best Back Awards, plays tenacious defense, and has been a kind and calm presence at the Kamloops Rugby Club, on and off the field.

Over the weekend at an away game in Surrey, Charith suffered a Distal 1/3 Fibular Fracture in his right ankle while getting tackled by two Surrey players. This unfortunate accident has required Charith to get metal plates installed in his ankle, and he will not be able to stand without the use of crutches for some time.

Thankfully as a TRU Student Charith's insurance covered the cost of the operation which happened on Tuesday the 6th of February. However, he will not be able to work for some time as he heals his ankle.

So, I wanted to put this fundraiser together to use the donated funds so that he can afford his rent, and purchase groceries while he rests and recovers.

I am very grateful to have gotten to know Charith over the past year and a half, and hope he can make a quick recovery, and an eventual return to the field were we can continue to play the sport that we both love.
