Hello, my name is Dennis Stienstra. I was volunteering at a local church (North Park Avenue Baptist Church) located in Warren, Ohio. When I was trimming some tree branches, which required me to gain access from the roof of the church. Upon cutting branches, I slipped on some moss and fell 3 stories to the pavement. I was life-flighted to the trauma unit at St. Elizabeth's hospital. I have severe injuries and 8 broken bones. I was in the hospital 26 days. I have a double compound fracture of the lower right leg. I shattered the bottom of my leg bone to where it had to be extracted. I have 2 rods and 15 screws in my lower right leg. I also fractured my pelvic bone.  My hand and wrist is broken in 4 places. I have a plate and 7 screws to help repair my wrist. I also fractured 3 bones in my back causing me to be restricted to my wheelchair. I have a hard shell back brace from my waist to my armpits. I just had my 5th surgery hopefully that was the last one. I have a long recovery ahead. I have exhausted all of my health insurance benefits from my job at Warren City Schools. I am being buried by extensive medical bills and the possibility of being off from work for quite a long time.
