Dear Family & Friends,
This is difficult to write.
On December 30th, 2020, our beloved Charisse Ates tragically passed away. Though we are heartbroken by this sudden loss, we take solace in knowing she is at peace.
It's hard to find words that capture exactly how much Charisse meant to all of us, but if you were blessed to know her, you knew she was an incredible soul. Her athletic and artistic abilities were extraordinary. Through her love for food, kindness, and humor, she brought people together and touched so many lives in her 38 years of life. Her impact and inspiration was immeasurable--a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin--devoted to friends and family.
She leaves behind her precious daughter, Naziyah (16), her mother, Jackie (who is now the primary guardian for her daughter), her father, Conrad, her step-father, Leroy, her brothers, Tahir, Sultan and Aaron, and her sisters, Tahirah, Nickole, Jasmine and Amira. This fund was created to help ease their financial burden during this difficult time, as they not only have to endure the shock and emotional pain of her sudden passing, but also burial expenses. This fund will serve as continued support for Charisse's daughter, Naziyah, who has achieved so much academic success, and is already college bound earning college credits while in high school.
On behalf of the Ates family, thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and support. We are deeply grateful for this community that has showered Charisse with so much love. She will be tremendously missed.
All donations will go toward our beloved Charisse's burial expenses and her daughter Naziyah's education fund.
