Charis' Back Bills Backing Up
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Ben and I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. Charis and I met about two years ago and recently got hitched in October. She is the absolute love of my life.
About a year and a half ago, Charis injured herself lifting a window air conditioning unit. At first, her injury seemed easily fixable, but as time went on, we found that she had three buldging (herniated) disks in her low back, as well as signs of disk degeneration and bone spurs. For the last year and a half we've been trying all sorts of options, from cortisone injections, to physical therapy and even alternative medicine. After many treatments, and even surgery, we're still searching for a fix and relief to her pain.

Charis' Mom and I kissing her right before her back surgery.
Charis has been out of work because of an inability to sit, drive, or stand for any significant length of time. The pain is starting to wear on her and we're hoping and praying for an end to this injury soon.
Although we're both covered by insurance, it fails to cover a lot of expenses, and it's put us in a predicament. In the past year, we've estimated that we've spent over $12,000 already on different treatments and medications. We're currently behind by about 5,000, some of which is at risk of being sent to collection agencies.
In the past month, we've done a few things to cut monthly costs, including switching insurance, but are still finding it difficult to pay off the remainder of this intimidating balance. We feel slightly weird about asking for help, but at this point, we're left with no other options. We would be eternally grateful for any assistance lifting this financial burden. Thank you so much for any support you can give. Every little bit helps.
