I am Chardiney Wood, Delaware’s FIRST Ms Delaware USA Ambassador Queen of 2017! If you've never heard of the USA Ambassador Pageant system let me first fill you in! The USA Ambassador Pageant is a charity driven organization that promotes success through leadership, integrity, character and confidence to young women. The founders of this pageant system are a mother daughter duo that had the passion to promote each contestant’s individual strength and encourage their queens, contestants and families to be involved in their communities and serve as ambassadors! This pageant system was established in 2010 and currently has donated to 20 different charities across the country while continuing to support the Big Brother Big Sister organization, which serves as their National Charity Beneficiary. But this year is the FIRST year Delaware has queens crowned and off to Nationals to compete for the national titles! 


            I chose this pageant system because it was the perfect alignment of who I am and who I aspire to be. The role of a Queen allows a woman to be bigger than herself and enrich not only her life, but the lives of others.  Last Saturday I not only left with the state title of Ms Delaware USA Ambassador 2017, but I also received the Best in Class Award and Charity Award as well. I’ve received other leadership awards in my past such as: The Commandant Award from Airman Leadership School in 2016 and the Outstanding Peer Award from JPMorgan and Chase Global Compliance Operations in 2014.

            My qualifications combined with my drive to impact my community make me certain I can obtain the national title to best represent my state in July!  To be the best I have to get to Tampa, Florida and be ready to compete with the best. Which is where sponsorship becomes a need. I am seeking assistance with travel, hotel stay, gown costs, alteration costs, interview outfit, swimwear, shoes, grooming, and registration fees. Finalizing my preparations and expenses is going to take hard work, but I am committed to keeping my eye on the end goal. Bringing home that nationals title will allow me to not only inspire others, but for the first state to be represented in its best light. A representation of a collaboration, that will impact the country with a role model that represents every hard working ambitious young lady that looks to me for inspiration.

            I take the responsibility and opportunity of being a title-holder very seriously. I have to make a difference in my community, but I cannot do it alone. Community involvement and charity work will be time consuming, but I do not mind the sacrifice. I am passionate about educating my community about the empowerment of the USA Ambassador organization and passionate about being the most effective role model I can be during my reign. I will work tirelessly to give back and be a voice for many worthy causes.

I am focused on expanding my impact from my state to representing my country. So any donation would be greatly appreciated to help me best pursue my dream of becoming Ms USA Ambassador 2017!
