On April 28th, 2019 the world lost a great man.
Tim Wiseman lived an amazing life which ended much too soon. His infectious smile, positive attitude and his steadfast loyalty to his family and friends made him simply the greatest husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend anyone could ask for.
Above all else, Tim was consistently kind and always had a lot of fun. Whether it was hosting Winter Olympics for the kids, gas station secret Santa, making glasses from coconuts for Hawaiian parties, creating birthday cakes, going on travel adventures, or hosting kitchen parties, Tim could be counted on to deliver rich and exciting experiences time and time again for everyone he loved.
A few years ago when the Wisemans were visiting our family, we stopped for ice cream after a day at the beach. Tim and the kids were hopping from fence post to fence post and Amy looked at me with a nervous smile and said “Tim is definitely the fun one in our family.” We both laughed, because we knew she was right.
When Tim was diagnosed with ALS 4 years ago, several friends received the same text from Tim, “Please take care of my girls.” Even as he faced an impossible diagnosis and challenging weeks ahead, his thoughts were not with himself, but his family, and his two daughters Livi and Charlie.
As such, to honour Tim and to support his family, we have created this GoFundMe page to receive donations (in lieu of flowers) for Charlie and Livi’s education fund; anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
And as you celebrate Tim and remember the joy he brought to this world, go be “the fun one” and do something that brings a smile to the faces of the kids in your family.
