This is the Char we know and love .... showing the aftermath of a balloon toss competition at a family cottage weekend.
For the past 3 years, Char has been fighting a rare form of cancer. She has endured surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy, and her battle continues. Throughout it all, she has been strong, resilient, and she has focused her energy on making her family’s life as normal as possible. Her husband Steve and her children, Isaac, Olivia and Ben, are the light of her life and they have kept her going. She has missed her workplace community and has had to pass on family events and trips, yet has remained positive and calm.
Well, today (May 18th) is her birthday, and we, her extended family and friends, say that it’s time to focus on Char. Let’s show her an outpouring of love and support. Let her know that we’ve got her back and that she can lean on us.
We set the goal at $1 because we feel we just can’t put a price on this situation. Char continues to be unbelievably brave and strong, but even the strongest need help sometimes. Even if you can’t financially contribute, please keep Char in your thoughts and prayers, and share this campaign if possible.
