Chappell Garden Fundraiser 2022

Friends of Chappell are so proud of the our school. It's a welcoming, energizing space for our kids to learn. Part of what makes our school so special is the programming we are able to provide, bringing in "extra" experiences for our students. The Gardeneers program is one of these very special extras.

This past year we have dealt with a few setbacks in our main garden space, primarily a rodent infestation which decimated sections of the garden and needed to be managed, putting those beds largely out of commission for the year. But the Gardeneers still managed to provide a welcoming space in our atrium garden and privided amazing lessons for our primary grade students and recess programming for intermediate grades. We also hosted garden clean ups and work days and got a visit from Popcorn and Peanut, our new chicken friends, as an introduction to a chicken coop addition we are hoping to introduce in the spring. But we can't provide these opportunities without the support of our community.

We are asking today for a donation this Giving Tuesday week to help Friends of Chappell to beautify the school garden spaces to make them more informative and welcoming, provide general upkeep of the school garden spaces and our new chicken coop area, and to continue our partnership with the non-profit organization, Gardeneers, who provides staff and curriculum.
