On July 7, 2021, the lives of the members of the Chappell family were changed forever. That day, a three-car collision claimed the life of Richard "Dick" Chappell (88) and left his wife, Donna (86) in intensive care with a broken neck and extensive internal injuries. She remains in ICU in critical condition with spinal cord injuries.

Doug, Diane and Dana have anguished by their mother's side - prayer warriors watching over their mother as she fights for her life.

The family asks for continued thoughts and prayers for Donna as she recovers.

The Chappell's have tremendous faith in God and trust in Him to provide a path forward for them. His love is felt through the care and encouragement of all those who have reached out during this difficult time and who have expressed sympathy and heart-felt condolences over the tragic death of their father.

So many concerned family members and friends have reached out asking to provide assistance - please help us lighten the load for this amazing family. The funds will be used for travel expenses to and from PA/DE, hotel/housing, pet care, etc. while the family remains vigilant at their mother's side.

This is going to be a long journey for the Chappell's - and although they are incredibly strong and resilient - we want to return all of the love and unwavering support they have given their family and friends through the years.
