Alex Chapman's House Damaged & Robbed from Fire
Donation protected
Friends of SLO, SF, SC and beyond,
My good buddy Alex Chapman lost his home this week from a fire that woke him up on Sunday February 13th, and immediately had to evacuate his place grabbing bare minimum. The fourth floor of his building went into flames, while his studio suffered from smoke and water damage. When he went back a couple days later to move out the left over mess, his place had been robbed, losing his bike, dads' heirlooms, records, camping gear, $700 cash, and maybe other things he's still discovering is missing. Unfortunately, he didn't have renters insurance, creating a financial burden because nothing is covered. A ton of his furniture is heading to the dumpster due to severe smoke and water damage.
Chapman is staying optimistic about this madness, however he's also decompressing from this unexpected event and working through the financial and emotional weight of it. I know everyone's in a different financial situation, but if you have the financial means to donate, he would be deeply grateful for your support, and wants to donate the leftover portion to California Red Cross, who also supports fire victims.
Thank you for coming together and considering supporting my friend!
