Chaplain Benevolent Fund

Donation protected
Recently approved, the Chaplain team in Kingston has opened a Benevolent Fund to assist all Defense Team Members (military (regular/ reserve/ cadet); DND civil servants/ CFMWS employees/ Base workers/ military families/ veterans).

This fund is a program of the chaplains run through our Base Chapels for charitable purposes, and accounted for in an external trust account in the Base Fund.  These funds are transparent, managed and reportable to the chain of command and Non-Public Funds through the Sr Chaplain team leader.

These funds are provided to people in need in the form of gift cards for Groceries/ Gas.  They are provided by the chaplains, or referrals to chaplains from other helping professionals or the chain of command.  No cash will be given.  They are to provide for immediate necessities of life.

Confidentiality:  The identity of recipients shall not be disclosed outside the chaplain team, except to Non Public Funds accounting office to justify and verify reception of funds in the form of a receipt.   For transparency, the Base Command Team shall be informed regularly of the reasons why funds were used, how many people received support and amount of money distributed - but not the identity of the recipients.

Your support to this fund is tax deductible, as this is a charity, and will come from the "Pay Pay Giving Fund", who manages these donations (at no cost to charities) and provides the information back to us.

We appreciate any support you are able to give, as we work together to build up some funds to help our community should they be in need.

Thank you, and blessings.
the Chaplain Team, of CFB Kingston.
