Chantel is someone with the kindest heart and soul.   She is one of my best and dearest friends who really helped me when I didn’t have family around!  Anyone that knows her, knows she has a heart of gold and would give her sweater off her back if you were in need.  

Since March 2019 she has been in and out of the hospital to figure out what has been going on with her lungs.  Her doctors found small cysts in her lungs, but weren’t sure she had pneumonia.  She started some antibiotics and was scheduled to return in a few months for CT scans.  Well since then she has had multiple visits to the doctors, a few stays in the hospital, and suffered a stroke.   Her lungs are okay but her heart is not functioning properly or fully.  She will need a heart transplant and lung surgery due to aspiration pneumonia.

As of this week she is no longer employed because FMLA has run out, but luckily her job is helping to cover COBRA for a few months.  But she is far from being done with doctors visits and still having to pay her bills.  

This is a hard time for her and her daughter and I know if this was the other way around she would find a way to help.
