Hi. My name is Eamonn. I am here to try and raise funds for my daughter Chantelles funeral service.

My daughter Chantelle was only 35. She contracted sepsis from a small open wound on her elbow. On the 1st April 2025 she was rushed into hospital with complications. This was diagnosed as sepsis and she was given antibiotics and kept in hospital. The antibiotics were not working so the dosage was raised with no affect. At this point necrosis was setting in so she was rushed into theatre for an emergency operation to remove the death tissue. Her right bicep and breast were removed and she was taken back to the ICU ward. Unfortunately the necrosis was now attacking her feet and hands. She was still under sedation but her vital signs were weak so she was hooked up to life support..

Unfortunately she was still deteriorating, the consultant who was absolutely fantastic explained to us the family members who were there that it wasn't looking good as the machine was actually breathing for her. They explained in detail that if she pulled through they would have to amputate both legs and possibly her hands as they were also being attacked by the necrosis.

Chantelle put up a good fight but never regained consciousness. I refused to believe she wouldn't pull through. The expected 12hrs of survival given by the doctors was surpassed and she fought for another 24hrs. Her vitals were dangerously low at this point.

On the the 3rd of April 2025 the surgeons and consultant made the decision to stop as she was not improving. At 21.32 the life support machines were switched off. Chantelle was surrounded by her closest family members during this time.

All of the funds raised will be used to give Chantelle the best send of possible. Everyone who knew her and all friends of the family are welcome to come along and pay their respects.
