Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany. I am the older sister of Chantel Lamay Matiyosus, a 16 yr old teenager who was gunned down in Brockton MA on April 25th, 2009 in an act of senseless violence at a baby shower. For years, we fought to bring justice and unfortunately, justice will never be served for Chantel due to several factors that I'd rather not relive. Her accused killer, one of many, is set to serve 15-18 yrs which makes him eligible for release soon.
Today April 25th, 2023, I realized that there is a sick individual out there that won’t let my sister rest in peace. Fourteen years later, I arrived to see my sister and grieve, and when I arrived to see my sister's stone covered in paint, not water paint but instead paint that myself, my siblings and Chantel's small support system spent hours trying to remove. I’m creating this go fund me to raise money to remove Chantel from where she is and have her cremated to be with her mother, who deserves to have her daughter at peace so she can continue to make a life for Chantel's younger siblings. We cannot grieve in peace. Chantel is not at rest, but I will not give up until we can do something about this or raise this money to give her mother what she deserves, which is for her daughter to rest peacefully‼️
