Sarah used to get angry when preventable deaths occurred in hospital because no one had taken the time to learn how a person with a learning disability communicated. She particularly felt passionate about those who died from sepsis because the signs weren't noticed.

The CEO of Changing Our Lives, Jayne Leeson, said that she would ensure any contributions would go directly to their work with people experiencing health inequalities, many of whom are often treated poorly by the NHS.
There is no option to donate directly to Changing Our Lives, so we are collecting donations on their behalf and will transfer the total after the funeral.
