Changing lives through the power of sport

Hi, my name is Jed Bandy, and I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to go on a cricket tour to Kenya with my school in February 2025.

I’m writing to ask for your support to help me make this trip happen.

About the Tour

The tour isn’t just about playing cricket (although I’m really excited about that!). We’ll be playing matches against school teams at national grounds in places like Nairobi and Mombasa, which is such an incredible opportunity.

But what makes this tour extra special is that we’ll also be working with children from deprived areas, coaching them and sharing the sport we all love.

It’s a chance for me to not only grow as a cricketer but also learn more about other cultures and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

What I Need to Do

The school and our cricket academy are helping us through sponsorships and fundraising events. But I need to raise the remaining £1800 myself.

Here’s how I’m raising the funds:

• Taking part in fundraising events like a car wash in December, cake sales, and a Curry and Quiz Night at BACA in January.

• Asking for generous donations from family, friends, cricket clubs, and the wider community—every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings me closer to my goal.

• Securing a £200 business sponsor, which includes a logo and website placement alongside my player profile in the tour brochure and on the website.
