I am a single mother to one child. I have fallen on hard times since contracting meningitis, i was hospitalised, I was placed in a coma and given a 20% chance of survival.I was left with severe scarring all over my body, I had to have all my toes amputated. I was in hospital for 3 months and another 3 months at home.This happen some years ago but I am still traumatised by it. My ex refused to send my daughter home , I had to go through a court case at the same time. My daughter is home with me now but as been very traumatic for both of us. I am very fearful of falling ill again as it can be contacted again, I worry about this every day. I got into financial hardship during the time I was ill and also had to cover court cost. I have never recovered from this and now suffer with severe mental health.
