Bring Matt off the Streets

Matt Leszczynski has been homeless for over 4 years without getting the proper social care from the government. That is why we have decided to organise the #ChangeALife campaign to finally get Matt off the streets. With the help from all of you, we will be able to find him a place to stay and provide him with the medical treatment he deserves.
THE BACKSTORY
Until 2013, Matt had been earning his living by working as a chef in a restaurant in London. Unfortunately, due to his medical condition, Matt was fired and did not have enough funds to afford rent for a longer period of time. With no support from his relatives and friends, Matt did not have any other choice but to become homeless.
Matt is suffering from leg ulcers. Due to improper functioning of his venous valves, painful wounds are occurring on both of his legs. This condition severely affects Matt's quality of life. Not just that, it also prevents him from doing manual work that requires high physical activity.
In February 2018, Matt nearly died. The extremely cold weather combined with his medical condition, Matt was hospitalised in intensive care for 3 weeks due to internal bleeding.
The government does not help. Matt is originally from Poland and is not an English citizen. Therefore, legally speaking, he is not eligible for any social housing plans. The government is aware of Matt's situation, however, the law and the extremely high bureaucracy forbids the government to act. If the government cannot do anything, someone has to act.
THE COSTS
100% of the raised money will be used for three main purposes.
1. Rent
As soon as we will raise enough money for the deposit (cca. £300) and 2 months for the rent (cca. £900), Matt will finally have a roof above his head! The more money we will collect, the longer will Matt be able to rest and to heal his wounds caused by leg ulcers.
2. Medical treatment
Treating leg ulcers at a later stage requires a lot of therapy sessions, medications, sometimes even surgery. With the funds we raise, we will be able to pay for a doctor who will be able to skillfully and gradually heal Matt's wounds. Depending on the amount of funds, we will also be able to pay for any additional treatment that is required.
3. Living costs
With your help, we will even be able to fund Matt's living costs while he is healing! These include: food (cca. £160/month), council tax (cca. £90/month), gas & electricity (cca. £50/month), internet (cca. £20/month), phone bill (cca. £10/month), and laundry & toiletries (cca. 10/month).
As I (Vit) am currently finishing a Bachelors degree in business and management, I will make sure that absolutely all expenses are being tracked and reported back to you on a regular basis. We understand that money is a very sensitive topic, therefore, we will make sure that you will get a full transparency of what is happening with your generous donations.
