Change a Woman and Her Children’s Future with $50

For the first time, in a village of over 1,000 people, parents have joined hands to protect children from violence — through the Parents2Parents (P2P) and the No Hit Zone, a safe space where children’s dignity comes first. They are the mothers of Future Leaders Initiative SL, women who have stood together like a family, not just to survive, but to advocate for something bigger — nonviolent discipline for children.
These women know what it means to hit a child out of frustration — and they regret it.
In their own words, they say:
''Sometimes we hit them, not because we want to, but because the stress is too much. The hunger, the school fees we can’t pay, the shame from the community saying we are lazy mothers — it all builds up until we take it out on the very children we love.”
They believe deeply that a happy, supported mother will raise happy, safe children— children who grow up with dignity instead of fear.
But right now, happiness feels out of reach.
Most of these mothers lost their husbands three, four, even five years ago. They were left alone with four, five, sometimes more children — and no stable income.
To survive, they started tiny businesses with just $5 capital, selling petty items like charcoal, kerosene, or groundnuts. After working all day, some make just $0.4 profit — money they split between:
Buying rice
School books
Medication when malaria comes knocking
Despite all this, these women still stand strong — they speak out in P2P community meetings, sharing their struggles, learning about positive parenting, and pushing for a future where no child is beaten because of poverty and stress.
This is where you come in.
With just $50, you can help one of these mothers expand her small business — turning a tiny hustle into a stable source of income.
That means enough profit to feed her children properly.
That means school fees paid on time — no more shame at the school gate.
That means less stress, less frustration — and no more taking pain out on children.
$50 is not just money — it’s a lifeline. It’s dignity for the mother and safety for the child.
Donate today.
Empower a mother to stand strong — for herself, for her children, and for nonviolence in her home.
Together, we break the cycle of poverty and violence — one family at a time.
Your $50 plants the seed for a happy mother — and happy children.
